Facility Policies

We strive to keep students safe, healthy, and respected during our events and workshops. The policies are updated frequently and are intended to help everyone achieve that goal.

Cancellation:

We understand that despite a registrant’s best intentions they may find themselves unable to attend a workshop. If that happens, they are welcome to find an alternate participant to attend in their place. If they are unable to find a substitute, we will accept cancellations and issue refunds under the following conditions:

  • If we cancel a workshop for any reason, all registration fees will be fully refunded.

  • If a student withdraws from a workshop with more than four days’ (96 hours) notice, a refund will be issued minus $40 USD (the balance which can be applied as a credit towards any workshop within the next 12 months.)

  • If a student withdraws with less than four days (96 hours) notice or does not show up at the workshop, no refund or credit will be issued.

Please note: If a participant is traveling for a workshop, we recommend they purchase travel insurance, because of COVID and unforeseen circumstances.

Registration:

Workshops require a minimum number of students in order to run; therefore we encourage students to register early. Workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may register online (preferred) or by phone. Students will receive an email when the registration is fully paid and complete.

Partial payments can be made upon request. Please contact us directly if you wish to create a payment plan for a class.

Masks & Vaccination:

Currently, (2/2023) the wearing of masks during a workshop will be optional and not required for instructors or students. Students will be asked sign a waiver for acknoledgement of possible exposure to COVID it prior to the start of class.

Current guidelines from Denver.gov: Yes, Denver businesses are legally able to require face coverings or proof of vaccination. Denver supports businesses and venues that decide to continue requiring face coverings or proof of vaccination as added safety measures and asks Denver residents to respect the decisions of businesses who do so. Face coverings are only required to be worn in certain settings in Denver including for unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated staff, residents, and visitors in jails, homeless shelters, and emergency medical and other healthcare settings. Face coverings are still highly recommended for those who are immunocompromised and those who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated or boosted. Face coverings provide an added layer of protection for those who are fully vaccinated and boosted.

Waitlists:

We maintain waitlists for in-person workshops. If a workshop is full, please add yourself to the waitlist via the website. Students on the waitlist will be contacted via email and phone if space becomes available; priority will be given to the first person signed up on the waitlist.

We ask that waitlisted students not show up for a workshop unless they’ve been notified that there is room for them.

Discrimination:

We want the InterOcean Studio experience to include varied ideas, world views, and personal characteristics. InterOcean Studio is committed to being a community that welcomes and respects everyone regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, race, religion, philosophical or political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, nationality, geographic origin, and socioeconomic status. We are committed to providing an environment free of discrimination.
